Behavioral Advertising

We may engage in behavioral advertising and utilize Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel to provide a more personalized and relevant experience to our users. This section of our privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and share information for behavioral advertising purposes, including our use of Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel.

What is Behavioral Advertising?
Behavioral advertising, also known as interest-based advertising, involves collecting information about individuals’ online activities and using that information to display targeted advertisements that align with their interests and preferences.

Information Collection for Behavioral Advertising, Google Analytics, and Facebook Pixel
We may collect certain information about your interactions with our website, such as pages visited, links clicked, and actions taken. This information may be collected through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies. Additionally, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to collect and analyze website usage statistics. Furthermore, we may also use Facebook Pixel to deliver targeted advertisements to our users.

Google Analytics
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with our website. This information, including your IP address, is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in various locations. Google Analytics compiles reports on website activity and provides us with insights into website usage and user behavior.

The information generated by Google Analytics cookies is anonymous and does not personally identify you. It is used for statistical purposes and to improve the performance and relevance of our website.

Facebook Pixel
We may use Facebook Pixel to deliver personalized advertisements to our users. This involves sharing certain information, such as demographic data or interests, with Facebook to create targeted advertising campaigns. Facebook Pixel utilizes cookies and similar technologies to track the effectiveness of our advertisements and to provide us with analytics and reporting.

TikTok
TikTok Pixel is a pivotal tool employed for the purpose of behavioral advertising within the TikTok platform. Its primary function entails the collection and analysis of user data in order to deliver targeted and personalized advertisements. This pixel operates by embedding a code snippet onto a website, thereby facilitating the tracking of user interactions and actions, such as page views and conversions. The acquired data is subsequently leveraged to discern user preferences and behaviors, empowering advertisers to craft ad campaigns that are more relevant and resonant.

Third-Party Disclosure
We may share the information collected for behavioral advertising, through Google Analytics, and via Facebook Pixel with trusted third-party advertising partners and service providers. These entities may use the information to deliver targeted advertisements on our behalf or for their own advertising purposes. However, we do not provide personal information, such as your name or contact details, for behavioral advertising without your explicit consent.

Opting Out
If you prefer not to participate in behavioral advertising or have your data collected by Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel, you can opt out through various mechanisms. You can adjust your browser settings to block cookies, utilize Google’s browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics, or utilize the ad preferences settings provided by Facebook. You can also select the opt out link in our policies section in the footer of our site.

Please note that opting out of behavioral advertising, Google Analytics, or Facebook Pixel may impact the personalized nature of the advertisements you see and the insights we gain from website analytics.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this behavioral advertising, Google Analytics, and Facebook Pixel section of our privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. We encourage you to review this section periodically for any updates.

Automatic decision-making

We firmly believe in the importance of human judgment and the need for human oversight in making decisions that may bear substantial consequences for individuals. Therefore, ST MUNIKA has made a deliberate choice to abstain from employing automated systems that would make determinations—such as eligibility for services, credit assessments, hiring decisions, or other similarly impactful outcomes—solely based on automated processes.

It’s important to note that our platform, powered by Shopify, does utilize limited automatic decision making in certain instances. These automated processes within the Shopify platform are designed to enhance the overall functionality and efficiency of our services while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Examples of limited automatic decision making within the Shopify platform include fraud detection and prevention, as well as order processing and fulfillment.

Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

  • Temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This blacklist persists for a small number of hours.
  • Temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses. This blacklist persists for a small number of days.
We acknowledge that automatic decision making entails potential risks, including the possibility of biases or unfair outcomes. By refraining from the use of automatic decision-making systems for significant determinations, we prioritize principles of fairness, accountability, and the inclusion of human judgment in our decision-making processes.

Please note that while we use automated systems for responding to general inquiries and providing customer support via our inbox or mobile app, these systems are intended solely for convenience and do not make significant decisions that affect your eligibility, rights, or opportunities.

To ensure ongoing compliance with relevant data protection regulations, including the European Economic Area’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we regularly reviews our policies and practices. In the event that we decide to incorporate additional automatic decision-making systems into our operations, we will provide comprehensive and transparent information to our users, outlining the purposes, logic, and potential consequences of such automated processes.

Should you have any inquiries or concerns regarding our data processing practices, including automatic decision making, please do not hesitate to contact us by using the information provided in the Contact section below.

Selling Personal Information

We do not sell personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users and do not engage in the sale of personal information to third parties.

We may collect and use personal information for the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy, such as order processing, customer support, and improving our services. However, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer personal information to external parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.

If you have any questions or concerns about the handling of your personal information, please contact us using the information provided in the ‘Contact’ section above.

The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they are downloaded to your device.

You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our website may no longer be fully accessible.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser’s “Tools” or “Preferences” menu. For more information on how to modify your browser settings or how to block, manage or filter cookies can be found in your browser’s help file or through such sites as: www.allaboutcookies.org.

Additionally, please note that blocking cookies may not completely prevent how we share information with third parties such as our advertising partners. To exercise your rights or opt-out of certain uses of your information by these parties, please follow the instructions in the “Behavioral Advertising” section above.

Do Not Track

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
